Jorge Ramirez dies in fatal Long Beach Freeway pedestrian incident

Fatal Long Beach Freeway pedestrian incident death of Jorge Ramirez – Obituary

Jorge Ramirez, 27, was identified as the man who was found unresponsive in the center divider of the northbound Long Beach (710) Freeway early Tuesday morning and later died at a hospital.

 

The California Highway Patrol received the first reports around 3:45 a.m. of a man walking near a sedan in the freeway’s center divider just south of Willow Street. Subsequent calls indicated the man may have been struck by a white minivan.

 

When paramedics arrived, Ramirez was found with a faint pulse and was rushed to a hospital. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead after arrival.

 

Authorities have not released further details about the circumstances surrounding the incident.
