Mobile, Alabama Man Pastor Roy Powell Arrested in Mobile for Armed Robbery

MOBILE, ALABAMA— Roy Powell, a 72-year-old resident of Mobile, was arrested in Mobile in connection with an armed robbery that occurred Wednesday morning.

According to the Mobile Police Department, Powell was taken into custody on Thursday during an investigation into the incident. Authorities say the robbery took place on Wednesday on Mobile Street, where Powell allegedly confronted a man, later returned in a truck with a firearm, and pistol-whipped the victim before taking his book bag.

Powell was transported to the Mobile County Metro Jail and is currently facing charges related to the incident.
