Fatal Brentwood industrial accident death of Telesforo Torres Lopez – Obituary
The man who lost his life in an industrial accident earlier this month in Brentwood has been identified as 54-year-old Telesforo Torres Lopez from Petaluma. The tragic event occurred around 3:30 p.m. on May 5, in the 3900 block of Walnut Boulevard, when Lopez became trapped under a heavy piece of equipment.
Emergency responders tried to revive him at the scene, but their efforts were unsuccessful, and he was pronounced dead where the incident occurred.
Authorities initially stated that the incident appeared to be accidental. An investigation is currently ongoing by both law enforcement and the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health.
A GoFundMe campaign was launched to support Lopez’s family with funeral expenses, raising over $16,000 as of Thursday. On the page, his daughter shared heartfelt words about her father, calling him a selfless individual who always put others first. She described him as someone reliable and generous, who worked tirelessly to support his family until the very end.
