Fatal Fort Wright motorcycle crash death of Tristan Stidham – Obituary

Tristan Stidham, 22, lost his life in a motorcycle accident last Friday near the I-275 interchange on Madison Pike in Fort Wright, Kentucky. Authorities confirmed that he died at the scene.

His mother, Rebecca Stidham, shared that her son was deeply loved by all who knew him, recalling how people frequently described him as a kind and remarkable young man.

Tim Stidham, Tristan’s father, joined the conversation with FOX19 NOW from Florida via Zoom. He expressed the emotional turmoil he’s been experiencing since learning of his son’s passing. At the time, Tim was in Missouri, assisting tornado victims for work when he received the heartbreaking call.

“I didn’t want to pick up the phone,” Tim remembered. “My father kept insisting, but I just couldn’t. Somehow, I already knew.”

Both parents are now urging the public to be extra cautious on the roads and to remain alert, especially around motorcycles. Tim recounted personal close calls while riding, emphasizing the dangers motorcyclists face daily.

Rebecca echoed this, noting that motorcycles can be difficult to spot and judge distance from, which makes attentiveness essential.

Though devastated, the Stidham family has found solace in the outpouring of support from their community. Messages of love and the launch of a GoFundMe campaign have brought comfort during a dark time.

“So many people have told me about the positive impact Tristan had on their lives,” said Rebecca.

“It’s powerful to see how many people he affected and who are showing up to support us,” added Tim.

Tristan’s funeral is scheduled for Monday, and a final ride will be held in his memory.

The Kenton County Serious Accident Reconstruction Team is continuing to investigate the circumstances of the crash.
