Fatal Pinconning car crash death of Aiden Alexander – Obituary

Eighteen-year-old Aiden Alexander lost his life Thursday afternoon in a tragic car accident on Mable Street in Pinconning, Michigan, just weeks after graduating from high school.

According to law enforcement, Aiden was driving his 16-year-old sister, Halen, home from school when a pickup truck driven by a 68-year-old man veered across the center line and collided with their vehicle head-on. Aiden died at the scene, while Halen sustained serious injuries and remains hospitalized. The family’s dog, Moose, also died in the crash.

Authorities have stated that the truck driver suffered critical injuries. Investigators are still working to determine what caused him to drift into the wrong lane.

The crash has sent shockwaves through the Pinconning High School community, where Aiden had recently celebrated his graduation. Superintendent Andy Kowalczyk described both Aiden and Halen as respectful, well-liked students. School staff are encouraging students to seek emotional support as they cope with the tragedy.

Aiden had just obtained his driver’s license and was preparing for a career in the skilled trades. Family members say he was active in his church, had a long-term girlfriend, and was known for his sense of humor and positive energy.

Halen, who was wearing a seatbelt during the crash, sustained a broken collarbone and internal injuries. Her family says she is still unaware of her brother’s and dog’s deaths due to her condition.

A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to support the family with funeral and medical expenses as they mourn this devastating loss.
