Kaleb Swed, a 24-year-old resident of San Marcos, lost his life following a stabbing incident earlier this week in San Marcos, California. The San Diego County Sheriff’s Office provided updated information on the case, revealing the identities of both the victim and the suspect.

 

The attack took place shortly before 5 p.m. on Monday, May 26, in the 600 block of Richmar Avenue. Deputies responding to the scene found Swed suffering from severe injuries. He was rushed to a hospital, where he was declared dead about two hours later.

 

Authorities identified the suspect as Ricky Pinedo, also 24 years old, who was detained at the location of the incident. Investigators confirmed that Swed and Pinedo were acquainted.

 

The reasons behind the stabbing and the full circumstances remain under active investigation. Law enforcement officials emphasized that this appears to be an isolated event, with no further suspects or risks to public safety at this time.
