Fatal South Fulton pedestrian crash death of Nyasia Singletary-Muhammad – Obituary

Authorities in South Fulton have released the identity of a young woman who lost her life after being struck by a vehicle late Monday night. The Fulton County Medical Examiner confirmed the victim was 23-year-old Nyasia Singletary-Muhammad.

 

The tragic incident took place at approximately 10 p.m. on May 26 along Camp Creek Parkway, just south of Old Fairburn Road. Fire personnel from South Fulton Fire Department were the first to arrive and discovered Singletary-Muhammad lying face down in the road. She was unresponsive and declared dead at the scene.

 

South Fulton Police reported that another woman was also struck during the same incident and is currently recovering at Grady Hospital with a concussion. Investigators believe both women were hit by the same vehicle.

 

The driver involved in the hit-and-run fled the scene and remains unidentified. Police have not yet been able to determine the make, model, or color of the vehicle. Officers are actively reviewing surveillance footage from city-operated Flock cameras and nearby businesses in hopes of locating the suspect vehicle.

 

Authorities are urging anyone who may have information related to this incident to contact the South Fulton Police Department as the investigation continues.
