Glendale police responded to the location at 5040 San Fernando Road around 8:10 a.m. on Friday after receiving a call about a man in distress. According to Sgt. Jose Barajas, Avila was pulled from a vehicle by the driver and a bystander who noticed he was in severe medical trouble.
