Fatal Kline Township car crash death of Thairen Finley – Obituary

Thairen Finley, a 51-year-old resident of Lansford, lost his life Saturday afternoon in a devastating head-on accident along Route 309 in Kline Township, Pennsylvania. The collision occurred near Mile Hill Road, about a mile south of the Interstate 81 ramp.

 

According to state police in Frackville, the crash happened around 4:02 p.m. when Lucas Forker, 46, of Trescow, was driving a Dodge Ram southbound on Route 309. For reasons still under investigation, Forker veered across the median and into the northbound lanes, striking the Chevrolet Equinox driven by Finley.

 

Finley was pronounced dead at the scene due to the severity of the impact. Forker sustained serious injuries and was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest in Allentown for treatment.

 

Emergency personnel from various fire and EMS departments, as well as McAdoo police, responded quickly to the crash site. Authorities have requested that anyone who witnessed the incident or has additional information contact the state police at Frackville by calling 570-874-5300.
