Fatal Somers, Wisconsin pedestrian crash death of Wayne N. Stade – Obituary

Wayne N. Stade, a 77-year-old resident of Kenosha, Wisconsin, lost his life in the early morning hours of May 13, 2025, after being struck by a vehicle while crossing Highway 31/Green Bay Road in the Village of Somers.

 

Authorities from the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office and emergency responders from the Village of Somers Fire Department were dispatched to the scene around 3:00 AM, following a report from a motorist who stated they had hit a person attempting to cross the highway. The driver remained on scene and cooperated fully with law enforcement throughout the investigation.

 

When deputies arrived, Stade was found to have sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the location by the Kenosha County Medical Examiner’s Office.

 

Due to the severity of the incident, the Kenosha County Major Crash Assistance Team (MCAT) was called in to aid with the investigation. Officials later confirmed the identity of the deceased as Wayne N. Stade, though the investigation into the circumstances remains ongoing.

 

The Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office expressed condolences to those affected by the tragedy and reminded the public that crisis support services are available 24/7 for anyone in need.
