Fatal Louisville Portland neighborhood shooting death of Chester D. Crawford – Obituary

Chester D. Crawford, 40, was shot and killed Friday night in the Portland area of Louisville. Police responded to the 3400 block of Pflanz Avenue around 10:40 p.m. on May 30 and found Crawford suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene before medical help could arrive.

The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office later confirmed his identity. Louisville Metro Police Department’s Homicide Unit is currently investigating the shooting.

No suspects have been named yet, and authorities are asking anyone with information to contact the anonymous tip line or use the online portal to assist with the investigation.
