Michael Anthony Valdez, a 47-year-old resident of Dyer, Indiana, lost his life in a single-vehicle crash early Saturday morning in Hammond. Authorities confirmed his identity Sunday through the Lake County Coroner’s Office, with family members providing the final confirmation.

The deadly accident occurred near the Domino’s Pizza location just north of the Kennedy Avenue interchange along the Borman Expressway.
