Seventeen-year-old Byron Davis, a student at Port Aransas High School, was tragically killed Saturday morning when the pickup truck he was driving veered off Cotter Avenue near Tarrant Avenue and collided with a building.

 

According to authorities, the incident occurred around 6:30 a.m. The Port Aransas Police Department responded to the scene where they discovered that Davis had died as a result of the crash.

 

Investigators have not yet determined what caused the vehicle to leave the road, and the case remains under active investigation.
