Fatal Queen Anne’s County shooting death of Christopher Parsley – Obituary

Christopher Parsley, 19, lost his life in a tragic shooting that occurred near a house party in Queen Anne’s County, Maryland. Authorities reported that two others were also injured in the incident.

According to the Queen Anne’s County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to gunfire in the 1500 block of Centreville Road around 1:15 a.m. on June 1. Upon arrival, they found three people suffering from gunshot wounds. Parsley, a resident of Centreville, was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other two victims were taken to a hospital for treatment.

Investigators said a large gathering had been taking place at a nearby home prior to the shooting. Witnesses reported that many partygoers fled once the shots were fired. Preliminary findings suggest the suspect had been attending the party before the violence erupted.

Sheriff Gary Hofmann urged anyone with video or photos from the event to come forward, stating that even unrelated footage might contain useful details for the investigation. He emphasized that law enforcement is not seeking to prosecute individuals for underage drinking or drug use but is solely focused on identifying those responsible for the shooting.

Parsley was described as a young man full of potential whose death has left a deep impact on both his loved ones and the broader community. Hofmann expressed sympathy for the victims and those traumatized by the events of that night.

Queen Anne’s County has experienced an overall decline in violent crime in recent years, though homicides did rise slightly last year. The investigation into this shooting remains active, and authorities continue to request public assistance.
