Fatal Chelan County tragedy claims lives of Paityn Decker, Evelyn Decker, and Olivia Decker – Obituary
Authorities in Chelan County, Washington, are investigating a heartbreaking case involving the deaths of three sisters—9-year-old Paityn Decker, 8-year-old Evelyn Decker, and 5-year-old Olivia Decker—whose bodies were discovered near Rock Island Campground on Monday. The children had gone missing after leaving for a scheduled visit with their father, Travis Decker.
On Friday, the girls departed with their 32-year-old father as part of a court-approved visitation plan. However, police stated he soon violated the terms of that agreement, prompting concern from family members and law enforcement.
Though the situation did not initially qualify for an AMBER Alert, the Washington State Patrol issued an Endangered Missing Person Alert. Investigators later located Travis Decker’s white 2017 GMC Sierra near the campground, close to where the girls’ remains were found.
Travis Decker, now wanted on three counts of first-degree murder and kidnapping, remains at large. Described as 5’8″ tall and 190 pounds, with black hair in a ponytail and brown eyes, he was last seen wearing a light-colored shirt and dark shorts. Officials believe he may still be in the area, living out of his vehicle, or staying at local motels or campgrounds. Authorities also noted that Decker is a military veteran with advanced training, which may make him particularly dangerous if confronted.
Anyone who sees him is urged to call 911 immediately.
