Christine Camacho dies in fatal Hartford parking lot crash

Fatal Hartford parking lot crash death of Christine Camacho – Obituary

Christine Camacho, 38, of Hartford, tragically lost her life Tuesday night after a high-speed collision in a parking lot on Retreat Avenue. The crash occurred when the car she was in collided with an unoccupied van at the back parking area of the Retreat, an assisted living facility.

Hartford police responded to the scene after reports of the accident. Authorities found a white 2001 Acura that had crashed into the van following a dangerous sequence: the vehicle was traveling north on Franklin Avenue at a high rate of speed, crossed Maple Avenue, then left the road on the west side, striking two trees before coming to rest against the van.

Camacho, along with the driver—a 41-year-old man—and an 18-year-old female passenger in the backseat, were all transported to Hartford Hospital. Sadly, Camacho passed away shortly after arrival due to her injuries, while the other two remain seriously hurt.

The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing. Authorities urge anyone with information to contact the Hartford Police Department Tip Line at 860-722-TIPS (8477).
