Christopher Piedrasanta-Perez dies in fatal Durham shooting

Fatal Durham shooting death of Christopher Piedrasanta-Perez – Obituary

Christopher Piedrasanta-Perez, a 23-year-old Durham resident, was killed in a shooting that occurred late on May 30 near Whippoorwill Park in Durham, North Carolina.

 

Durham police responded just before midnight to reports of gunfire in the 1600 block of Rowemont Drive. When officers arrived, they found three individuals — one man and two women — suffering from gunshot wounds inside a vehicle. All were rushed to a nearby hospital with critical injuries.

 

Piedrasanta-Perez later died as a result of the gunfire, authorities confirmed. The two women remain hospitalized with serious injuries.

 

Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting. No additional details have been made public at this time.
