Fatal Southeast D.C. shooting death of Darrell Anderson – Obituary
Darrell Anderson, an 18-year-old resident of Southeast Washington, D.C., was shot and killed inside a home on Q Street SE late Monday afternoon, according to police reports.
Officers with the Metropolitan Police Department’s Sixth District responded to the scene around 5:54 p.m. after receiving a report of gunfire. When they entered the residence, they found Anderson with a gunshot wound. Emergency responders from DC Fire and EMS examined him but determined he had no signs of life, and he was declared dead on-site.
Authorities have not released any information about suspects or potential motives at this time.
Investigators are continuing to work the case, and police are asking anyone with relevant information to come forward. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for tips that lead to an arrest and conviction.
