Fatal Union Township drowning death of Maliyah Cink – Obituary

Maliyah Cink, a 3-year-old girl, tragically lost her life in a drowning incident in Union Township. On Tuesday around 5 p.m., fire crews responded to a private swimming pool at the 4100 block of Independence Drive after receiving reports of an emergency.

Upon arrival, first responders found community members performing life-saving efforts on the child. Maliyah was transported to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead early Wednesday.

The Hamilton County Coroner’s Office has identified her and confirmed the cause of death as drowning. Authorities are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
