Fatal Pass Christian shooting death of Marlon Becker – Obituary

Marlon Becker was shot and killed on May 21, 2025, at a residence on Demourelle Road in Pass Christian, Mississippi. Authorities confirmed his identity after responding to the scene, where they discovered Becker deceased from a gunshot wound.

Police arrested Eric Ladnier in connection with the shooting. According to court records, Ladnier waived his Miranda Rights and voluntarily provided a statement to investigators. He claimed he had picked up Becker from Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport earlier that day.

Ladnier told police that the two stopped at a store before going to the house where the incident occurred. He stated that after both men consumed THC gummies, Becker began acting aggressively and struck him. Ladnier further alleged that Becker grabbed his wife, twirled her around, and professed his love to her.

Ladnier said he then retrieved a firearm and shot Becker in the back.

He is now facing a murder charge, and his bond has been set at $1,000,000. The investigation remains ongoing.
