Melissa Donoghue dies in fatal Lewiston home incident

Fatal Lewiston home death of Melissa Donoghue – Obituary

Melissa Donoghue, 42, of Lewiston, Maine, was found dead inside a residence on Old Greene Road early Monday morning, June 2, 2025.

According to the Maine Department of Public Safety, local officers responded to a report of a deceased individual at the home shortly after 5 a.m. Upon arrival, they located Donoghue. Authorities have not stated whether anyone else was present in the home at the time.

The Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit South has joined the investigation.

An autopsy was conducted on Tuesday at the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office in Augusta, though the cause and manner of Donoghue’s death have not been publicly disclosed.

Investigators have assured the public that there is no ongoing threat related to this case.
