Fatal Macomb County car crash death of Michelle Castanos – Obituary

Michelle Castanos, 49, tragically lost her life in a collision involving a van and a tractor-trailer on the morning of June 3 in Macomb County, Michigan. The crash occurred on the northbound lanes of M-53, just north of 32 Mile Road.

Authorities from the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office reported that Castanos was driving a white Chevy Express van when it collided with a semi-truck. Castanos was pronounced dead at the scene, while the semi-truck driver escaped the accident without injury.

Castanos was a resident of Bruce Township and had been married for nearly 25 years, raising six children. The cause of the crash is still under investigation. The roadway was temporarily closed but later reopened to traffic.
