Nicholas Justin Dempsey dies in fatal Putnam County truck crash

Fatal Putnam County truck crash death of Nicholas Justin Dempsey – Obituary

Nicholas Justin Dempsey, 34, from Eatonton, Georgia, was tragically killed in a single-vehicle crash late Tuesday evening in Putnam County.

According to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded just before 10 p.m. to a report of a pickup truck found off the road in the woods near Crooked Creek Drive close to Lake Lanier. When they arrived, they discovered Dempsey deceased inside his 2015 Nissan Titan, which had veered off the roadway and collided with a tree.

Dempsey was pronounced dead at the scene, and authorities do not suspect any foul play. The circumstances surrounding the crash are still under investigation as the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s Crime Lab awaits the results of an autopsy to determine what might have caused Dempsey to lose control of the vehicle.
