Fatal Tuscarawas County motorcycle crash death of Jill L. Morris – Obituary
Jill L. Morris, 44, tragically lost her life in a motorcycle accident on Sunday evening in Tuscarawas County. The Ohio State Highway Patrol reported that the crash took place around 8:11 p.m. on U.S. Route 250 near milepost 13 in Goshen Township.
Jill was riding as a passenger on a 2003 Harley-Davidson motorcycle driven by her husband, 47-year-old Keith A. Morris of Uhrichsville. The motorcycle was pulling a camper trailer when the trailer began to sway, causing the motorcycle to lose control, overturn, and slide off the right side of the road.
Jill Morris died at the scene from fatal injuries, as confirmed by the Tuscarawas County Coroner’s Office. Keith Morris was seriously injured and initially taken to Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital by the New Philadelphia Fire Department before being airlifted to Akron General Hospital, where he later died from his injuries. Neither rider was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Authorities including the Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s Office, local fire departments, the coroner’s office, and Jim’s Towing responded to the scene. The incident remains under investigation.
