Matthew Cardon, a 43-year-old resident of Peoria, Arizona, was shot and killed by police on the evening of June 5 following an alleged attempted kidnapping.
Authorities reported that around 6:45 p.m., officers responded to a distress call near Thunderbird Road and 87th Avenue, where a man was reportedly trying to abduct a woman who was pushing a stroller with her child. Witnesses stated that the man attempted to seize the child, prompting the woman to video call her husband. Her husband quickly arrived at the scene and chased the suspect down the street.
