Fatal Iredell County car crash death of Timmy Hillard Hartsoe – Obituary

Timmy Hillard Hartsoe, 43, was killed in a deadly one-vehicle accident on Interstate 77 south near mile marker 39 in Iredell County on Friday evening. The crash involved a 2002 Chevrolet S-10 traveling southbound with Hartsoe as a passenger and Floyd Dale Davis II, 39, as the driver.

According to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to veer off the right side of the road and collide with a tree.

Davis was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, while Hartsoe was pronounced dead after being transported to a medical facility.

Early investigations suggest that speeding and impairment may have played a role in the crash, and charges are currently pending. The highway was closed for about two hours while authorities conducted their investigation.
