Fatal Dorchester shooting death of Walter Wilkens – Obituary
Walter Wilkens, a 36-year-old resident of Quincy, has been confirmed as the second person to die following a double shooting that took place in Boston’s Dorchester neighborhood on Saturday, May 24.
Officers with the Boston Police Department responded to a shooting alert on Franklin Hill Avenue around 9:47 p.m. When they arrived, they discovered Wilkens and another man, 66-year-old Anthony McIntosh of Dorchester, suffering from critical gunshot wounds. Both were transported to nearby hospitals with life-threatening injuries, where they later passed away.
