Fatal Joliet car crash death of Beverly J. Wetherbee – Obituary
Beverly J. Wetherbee, 75, passed away following a serious accident in Joliet on Friday evening. She was a passenger in a Jeep Grand Cherokee that lost control and overturned in the front yard of a residence on Westminster Road. The incident also claimed the life of the vehicle’s driver, identified as 67-year-old Norman J. Wetherbee, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities reported that the vehicle was heading north on Westminster Road from Clara Avenue around 6 p.m. when it veered off the roadway, struck several trees, and flipped over. Beverly Wetherbee was taken to Ascension Saint Joseph – Joliet, where she was later declared deceased.
Autopsies were conducted on both individuals Saturday, with the final cause and manner of death pending results from additional investigations including toxicology reports.
