Sidney Brian Conard, 48, of Woodruff, tragically lost his life Friday afternoon following a collision between his motorcycle and another vehicle at the junction of SC‑11 and Cannon Ford Road in Inman, Spartanburg County, South Carolina. The Spartanburg County Coroner’s Office confirmed that Conard was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:03 p.m.
According to the coroner, Conard was riding alone on his motorcycle when it collided with an oncoming vehicle at the busy intersection. Emergency responders reached the location and found him unresponsive, and he was officially declared dead there, without being transported to a hospital.
The Spartanburg County authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash, including the direction of travel, speed, and actions of both drivers involved. An official report from law enforcement is expected in the coming days.
