Alan D. Honeycutt was involved in a serious domestic assault case in Monroe where he allegedly attacked his minor child, authorities reported. On June 7, 2025, the Monroe Police Department responded to a domestic abuse call and found the juvenile victim with visible bruises and red marks across the torso, neck, face, and eyes.
Investigations revealed that Honeycutt assaulted the child after the victim made a comment to one of Honeycutt’s roommates. During the assault, Honeycutt reportedly allowed a roommate to also harm the victim, including pouring soap into the child’s mouth and eyes.
Honeycutt admitted to restraining the child with a “Full Nelson” hold, though he claimed he did not intend to strangle the victim. Following the incident, Honeycutt was taken into custody and charged with Domestic Abuse Battery by Strangulation and Cruelty to Juveniles, with bond set at $65,000. The case remains under investigation as authorities pursue justice for the victim.
