Fatal Loves Park car crash death of Kevin Barbour – Obituary
Kevin Barbour, a 70-year-old Rockford resident, lost his life following a serious traffic collision that occurred Sunday afternoon, June 8, in Loves Park, Illinois.
According to the Winnebago County Coroner’s Office, the crash took place around noon at the intersection of East Riverside Boulevard and Pebble Creek Trail. Authorities believe Barbour was attempting to turn left onto Pebble Creek Trail from East Riverside when a westbound vehicle struck his car.
When emergency crews arrived, Barbour was unresponsive and not breathing. He was transported to a nearby hospital but was later pronounced dead.
The Loves Park Police Department and the Winnebago County Coroner’s Office are continuing to investigate the incident.
