Fatal Milton car crash death of Mary O’Bier – Obituary
Mary O’Bier, a 74-year-old woman from Ellendale, has been identified as the victim who lost her life following a car accident in Milton on June 6, according to Delaware State Police.
At approximately 4:30 p.m., a Sussex County EMS Chevrolet Suburban with activated emergency lights was heading westbound on Milton Ellendale Highway. As it neared the intersection with Mulberry Street, a Ford Bronco traveling north reportedly went through a stop sign and into the Suburban’s path.
The Suburban collided with the passenger side of the Bronco, causing it to spin and crash into a tree. O’Bier, who was driving the Bronco, was transported to a hospital, where she later died from her injuries.
The Suburban’s driver, a 38-year-old paramedic, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was also taken to a hospital for treatment.
