Raven S. Jackson dies in fatal Peoria Heights car crash

Fatal Peoria Heights car crash death of Raven S. Jackson – Obituary

Raven S. Jackson, a 30-year-old resident of Chillicothe, lost her life in a head-on collision early Friday morning in Peoria Heights, as confirmed by Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood.

According to officials, Jackson was driving northbound on Route 29 near Riverview Court at approximately 6:46 a.m. when her vehicle collided head-on with another car. Emergency responders arrived at the scene and declared her deceased at around 8:15 a.m.

Bystanders reportedly attempted to assist Jackson, but the coroner stated that the extent of her injuries made survival impossible. She had sustained multiple severe blunt force trauma injuries and was confirmed to have been wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash.

Toxicology testing is being conducted in line with Illinois State Statutes. Harwood also noted that Jackson was registered as an organ and tissue donor.
