Fatal Buffalo car crash death of Shabrina Grant – Obituary

Shabrina Grant, a 28-year-old resident of Buffalo, lost her life in a deadly collision late Thursday night on the inbound Skyway, police confirmed.

The accident occurred around 11:30 p.m. near the upper section of the elevated roadway leading into downtown Buffalo. Grant was a passenger in the vehicle that struck another car head-on. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Buffalo Police reported that the vehicle Grant was riding in was being driven by a 27-year-old man from Lackawanna, who was allegedly traveling the wrong way at high speed. The car crashed directly into another vehicle driven by a 46-year-old Buffalo woman.

Both drivers were taken to ECMC with serious injuries and remain hospitalized as of the latest update.

Authorities have not announced whether any charges will be filed, and the investigation is ongoing. The crash forced the closure of the Skyway for several hours, but traffic has since resumed.
