Fatal Cross Lanes pedestrian crash death of Dennis Taylor – Obituary

Dennis Taylor, 86, tragically lost his life early Monday morning after being struck by a vehicle while crossing Goff Mountain Road in Cross Lanes, West Virginia.

The Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office reported that the incident occurred around 5:15 a.m. in the 100 block of Goff Mountain Road. Taylor was operating a mobility scooter when he attempted to cross the busy roadway and was hit by an oncoming car.

He was rushed to a nearby hospital but succumbed to his injuries. The driver involved remained at the scene, and no charges have been filed yet. The sheriff’s office reconstruction team is actively investigating the circumstances of the crash.

The accident led to a temporary closure of Goff Mountain Road during the investigation.
