Dorothy Dobbins, a 77-year-old resident of Nashville, passed away after being struck by a pickup truck while walking in a marked crosswalk on 3rd Avenue North near Van Buren Street. The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. on Sunday evening.

According to the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, Dobbins was attempting to cross the road when the vehicle hit her. Authorities reported that the driver of the truck did not show signs of impairment at the scene. No charges have been filed at this time, though the case remains under investigation.

Dobbins, who lived close to the crash location, was transported to a nearby hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
