Fatal Royal Oak assault death of Leslie Ann Cataldo – Obituary

Leslie Ann Cataldo, 66, of Fenton, passed away on Thursday after suffering critical injuries during an incident at her home in Royal Oak, Michigan. The tragic situation unfolded around 7:40 p.m. on Wednesday on the 3600 block of Crooks Road.

Cataldo had called authorities herself, reporting that her 45-year-old daughter was undergoing a mental health emergency and needed hospitalization. However, when officers arrived at the home, they found Cataldo unconscious with a severe neck wound. She was rushed to Corewell Hospital in Royal Oak and underwent emergency surgery, but later succumbed to her injuries.

Her daughter, Jennifer Cataldo, was taken into custody at the scene and has since been formally charged with first-degree murder. She appeared before a judge on Friday at the 44th District Court and is being held without bond in the Oakland County Jail.

The case remains under investigation as authorities continue to piece together the events that led to this deadly domestic assault.
