Michael Martinez dies in fatal Salem pedestrian vehicle collision

Fatal Salem pedestrian vehicle collision death of Michael Martinez – Obituary

Michael Martinez, a 52-year-old resident of Salem, Oregon, died after being struck by a vehicle near the 6000 block of Silverton Road NE on the evening of June 8, 2025.

According to emergency responders, the collision occurred just before 10 p.m. Deputies and medical personnel arrived promptly and confirmed Martinez was deceased at the scene. The Marion County CRASH Team closed Silverton Road for about three and a half hours while conducting their investigation.

The driver involved, a 58-year-old woman, stayed at the scene and is cooperating fully with authorities. No citations or arrests have been made so far as the investigation continues.
