Fatal central Austin condominium shooting death of Elizabeth Martinets and Enrique Zamora-Rosario – Obituary

Two 18-year-olds, Elizabeth Martinets and Enrique Zamora-Rosario, were identified as the victims of a murder-suicide at a condominium complex in central Austin, according to the Austin Police Department. The incident occurred Monday evening at an apartment on Ashdale Drive.

Police were alerted around 8:23 p.m. after a caller reported finding a body inside the residence. Upon arrival, officers discovered both Martinets and Zamora-Rosario deceased in a bedroom. An investigation by APD indicates Zamora-Rosario fatally shot his girlfriend, Elizabeth Martinets, before taking his own life.

This case marks Austin’s 29th homicide of the year. Authorities are continuing their inquiry and encourage anyone with information to contact the Austin Police Department or submit anonymous tips through local crime stoppers.
