Elizabeth Swarey, 68, of Dry Run, passed away on Friday due to injuries sustained in a collision involving a motorcycle and a horse-drawn buggy on May 23, 2025, on Path Valley Road in Franklin County, Pennsylvania.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, Swarey was a passenger in the horse and buggy when a motorcycle attempted to pass the buggy as it made a left turn, resulting in a crash that struck the side of the buggy. The impact caused all involved—the motorcyclist, Swarey, and the buggy’s driver—to be thrown from their vehicles.

Both the motorcyclist and buggy driver sustained serious injuries and were airlifted from the scene, with their current conditions not yet disclosed. Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
