Fatal Autauga County tractor-trailer crash death of Korey D. Vaughn – Obituary

Korey D. Vaughn, a 48-year-old man from Sugar Tree, Tennessee, lost his life Tuesday morning in a devastating single-vehicle accident involving a tractor-trailer in Autauga County, Alabama.

The crash occurred at approximately 10:25 a.m. on June 10 near the intersection of Cecil Smedley Road and Autauga County Road 1, around 14 miles northwest of Selma. Vaughn was driving a 2020 International tractor-trailer when the vehicle veered off the road, collided with a tree, and burst into flames. He was declared dead at the scene.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency confirmed Vaughn’s identity and reported that troopers with its Highway Patrol Division are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash.
