Manuel Ruiz dies in fatal Las Vegas shooting

Fatal Las Vegas shooting death of Manuel Ruiz – Obituary

Manuel Ruiz, known online as Sin City Manny, has been charged with the murder of fellow YouTube streamer Rodney Finley, 44, who was shot and killed during a livestream confrontation on June 8 in Las Vegas.

Finley’s wife, Tanisha Finley, was also fatally shot in the incident outside a resort on the Las Vegas Strip.

According to the arrest report, Ruiz told police that Finley’s wife approached him and was “dancing in his face,” which contributed to the escalation.

Ruiz said he fired first at Finley after the victim allegedly reached toward his waistband and made a threatening comment. Ruiz then shot Tanisha Finley after noticing what he believed was a weapon in her possession.

The shooting was reportedly streamed live online, with witnesses describing multiple gunshots captured on video. Police nearby responded after hearing the gunfire. Ruiz initially fled but was later apprehended when his wife informed officers of his involvement.

The conflict between the two streamers had reportedly been brewing for two years and involved public disputes, online insults, and competition for viewers. A friend of the victim described prior incidents, including an episode where Ruiz allegedly sprayed Finley’s wife with pepper spray. The feud intensified as Ruiz’s followers began shifting their support to Finley.

Ruiz is currently held without bail, facing two counts of murder, as the investigation continues.
