Fatal Lansing shooting death of Marvin High Jr. – Obituary
Authorities have confirmed that Marvin High Jr., 58, was the man fatally shot on Sunday evening in Lansing, Michigan. Emergency crews were dispatched to the 3300 block of Baradville Street shortly before 6 p.m. in response to a report of gunfire.
When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered High Jr. suffering from gunshot wounds. He was rushed to a nearby hospital by first responders, but despite efforts to save him, he was declared dead shortly after arrival.
Investigators have indicated that the shooting does not appear to have been random, although no suspects have been apprehended at this time. Police initially reported the victim’s age as 59 but later corrected it to 58.
The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting remains active.
