Shawn D. Zimmerman Jr. dies in fatal High Point, North Carolina shooting

Fatal High Point, North Carolina shooting death of Shawn D. Zimmerman Jr. – Obituary

A young man lost his life and another was injured during an early morning shooting on Terrell Drive in High Point. Police say the incident happened around 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 10.

When officers arrived, they discovered two individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. One of the victims, identified as 19-year-old Shawn D. Zimmerman Jr. of High Point, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The second victim, a 23-year-old man from Greensboro, was transported to a hospital to receive medical treatment for his injuries.

Authorities have not released any information regarding a suspect. The High Point Police Department continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
