Ayden Bingham lost his life in a plane crash off the coast of Point Loma, California, on Sunday. He was among six passengers on board the Cessna 414, which went down shortly after departing from San Diego International Airport.

The plane’s flight data showed a sharp descent followed by an erratic climb before impact with the ocean waters about three miles offshore.

Recovery efforts located debris in waters 200 feet deep. After 35 hours of search operations involving several agencies, the mission to recover the victims was suspended.

Ayden was from the Gila Valley in Arizona and was traveling with his father, Jeremy Bingham, and two brothers.
