Fatal Grants Pass motorcycle crash death of Brock Ewers – Obituary
Brock Andrew Ewers, a 46-year-old resident of Grants Pass, Oregon, lost his life in a tragic motorcycle crash after fleeing from law enforcement and plunging into the Rogue River.
The incident began around 10:30 p.m. on June 8, when a deputy tried to pull over a speeding motorcycle. Ewers did not stop and led authorities on a high-speed chase through the rural roads near Grants Pass. During the pursuit, he lost control of the motorcycle and went off a cliff, crashing into the river below.
Emergency crews responded quickly, using rafts and drones to search the area, but were unable to find Ewers that night. The following morning, at approximately 10 a.m. on June 9, rafters discovered his body in the river.
Local and state agencies assisted in the recovery operation, and the Oregon State Police have taken over the investigation. Officials have not released any additional information at this time.
This tragic event serves as a stark reminder of the dangers involved in high-speed motorcycle pursuits, especially in remote and hazardous terrain.
