Cameron C. Cook dies in fatal Midland County car crash

Fatal Midland County car crash death of Cameron C. Cook – Obituary

Cameron C. Cook, a 54-year-old man from Odessa, was killed in a two-vehicle collision on State Highway 158 in Midland County, Texas.

 

The crash took place around noon on June 9 near the intersection of SH 158 and County Road 1110. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Cook was heading west in the left lane of SH 158 when he struck the back of a stopped Freightliner truck that was waiting to turn left into a private driveway.

 

Authorities reported that Cook was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Freightliner, 60-year-old Romero Porfirio of Stanton, New Mexico, was unharmed in the incident.

 

Traffic in the area was redirected for several hours as investigators worked the scene. The investigation into the crash remains active.
