Fatal Clifton Heights shooting death of Christopher Stallworth – Obituary

A deadly shooting occurred Wednesday evening at a Shake Shack located in Clifton Heights, just a short distance from the University of Cincinnati.

Authorities responded around 8:20 p.m. to the 200 block of Calhoun Street after receiving calls about a man who had been shot. Officers from both Cincinnati Police and the University of Cincinnati Police Department arrived at the scene.

The victim, identified as 41-year-old Christopher Stallworth, was found inside the Shake Shack with a gunshot wound to his chest. He was immediately transported to UC Medical Center with injuries described as life-threatening.

By Thursday morning, officials confirmed that Stallworth had succumbed to his injuries.

University of Cincinnati police issued a safety alert to the public following the incident. Authorities reported that one individual had been taken into custody in relation to the shooting. As of now, no additional details have been released.
