Fatal Victorville motorcycle crash death of Dean J. Sutherland – Obituary

Dean J. Sutherland, a 56-year-old resident of Victorville, lost his life Tuesday night following a crash between his motorcycle and a pickup truck on Hesperia Road. Authorities confirmed the incident took place at approximately 10:34 p.m. on June 10, 2025, just south of Jasmine Street.

Emergency crews from the Victorville Police Department, Fire Department, and American Medical Response arrived at the location to assist. Initial reports from the investigation revealed that the crash involved a gray Ford F150 and a red BMW R1100RT motorcycle. Sutherland, who was operating the motorcycle, sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to Desert Valley Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

The driver of the Ford remained at the crash site and is cooperating with investigators. The Victorville Major Accident Investigation Team has taken charge of the ongoing inquiry into what caused the collision.

As a result of the accident, a section of Hesperia Road between Jasmine Street and Bear Valley Road was temporarily shut down to allow authorities to document the scene.
