Fatal North Myrtle Beach motorcycle crash death of Jessica Woodall – Obituary
Jessica Woodall, 40, of Laurinburg, North Carolina, was killed in a motorcycle crash that took place in the early hours of May 18, 2025, in North Myrtle Beach. She was a passenger on a motorcycle driven by Dustin Timothy Lowery, 31, also from Laurinburg, who is now facing DUI charges in connection with the fatal crash.
According to police, Lowery was riding a 2003 Harley-Davidson at a high rate of speed on the off-ramp of Highway 17 North near Sea Mountain Highway when he struck the curb of a concrete median. The impact caused the motorcycle to flip and land across three lanes. Woodall was thrown from the bike and was found unresponsive in the grass nearby. She died at the scene.
Security footage revealed that Lowery had been driving recklessly and was traveling over 100 miles per hour before the crash occurred. Officers reported that he showed signs of alcohol impairment. When police arrived, they found Lowery injured and lying next to the curb, bleeding from a head wound.
Lowery was arrested on June 10 by North Myrtle Beach Police and taken to J. Reuben Long Detention Center. He was later released on a $50,000 bond.
